Insurance & Billing Policies

We accept the following insurances:

  • HMOs: We participate with Children’s Physicians Medical Group also known as Rady’s Childrens Health Network that serves several health plans. Please be sure to select one of our physicians as your child’s PCP (Primary Care Physician) to see any of the providers in our practice.
  • PPOs: We accept nearly all PPO plans. Please verify with your insurance company that we are part of your plan’s preferred network of providers to minimize your out-of-pocket costs.
  • Tricare: We accept Tricare Standard and Prime. If necessary, please select one of our physicians as your child’s PCM (Primary Care Manager) to see any of the providers in our practice.
  • Medi-Cal: We accept straight Medi-Cal and most Medi-Cal Managed Care plans. Please select Molina, Community Health Group, or Health Net as the managed care plan and one of our physicians as your child’s PCP (Primary Care Provider.)

Billing Policies

We accept a variety of insurance plans. If you are planning to switch plans or have any questions regarding insurance, please contact our billing department. We also encourage parents to verify coverage directly with their insurance. Please remember, it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes made to your child’s insurance coverage as soon as possible. We are happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf, and our billing department is available to assist you with any issues that may arise. However, services provided for your family are ultimately your responsibility.

To maintain optimal care for all our patients, we ask to be notified as soon as possible if you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment. This allows us to make sure the providers’ time can be used to help other families. Please call at least one business day in advanced to cancel scheduled appointments. Failure to give proper notice will result in a $50 fee. This fee cannot be billed to your insurance company.
